I took my mother in law for afternoon tea and we couldn't be more pleased. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. Lots of lovely sandwiches, scones and cakes and we both had an extremely lovely time. We will definitely be going back.Service: 5/5
We booked the Comfort Inn Ramsgate on the train as this was a last minute break. We booked the sea view room, which was lovely and the room was clean. The downfalls were the furniture it was old and my husband found the bed uncomfortable. Breakfast was continental and a full English was 6 pounds extra. Giving the price of the room we did not find we were getting value for money. That is why I only gave three stars.
Stayed in one of the suites and the bed was comfortable. The balcony did have a small heater and was enclosed so could use. Reception staff very pleasant. On a busy road but the enclosed balcony helped reduce that noise. Big issue for us: noise from other guests’ rooms. World Cup so heard loud TV and shouting until late. Heard alarm going off for several minutes in early morning, heard walking above early and some talking. Note: no heat from radiators but did get heat setting on AC wall unit. Would give a 3.5 if possible.
Met friends for coffee. Staff very courteous and obliging. Spotlessly clean bar area but lacked atmosphere. Great location.Location: 5/5
The room I had was clean and tidy. Dined in the hotel 3 nights and the food was very good. Portions were very generous. Continental breakfast was included in the room price but for a few extra pounds you çould have had a full EnglishRooms: 4/5
