Booked buffet lunch as a combo with luge rides. The setting gives a great view of Rotorua, the lake and the surrounding area. The selection of food is amazing and the quality is very good. If one is going for lunch then it is best to skip breakfast. Selection of desserts can be improved and doesn’t befit a restaurant of this calibre. The staff on duty were very helpful. They are appreciative of people with religious dietary restrictions and acted as excellent guides. Price is always a relative issue but for the overall experience it is very very worth it.
First time to try their buffet dinner here and we enjoyed our experience. For the price we paid I think it was reasonable enough thinking it included the Gondola ride which was one of the highlights of the experience. Atmosphere was ok, there were a lot of people and kids running around. Views are good, but maybe it was better if we stayed until dark and we might have better views of the city lights. We paid for a premium seat which guarantees us a seat with views but I don't think it would be much different if we chose a normal seating. Food was delicious and had heaps to chose from. In the end we had our bellies full and enjoyed the views. Would recommend to try at least once if around town.
A wonderful place to dine in! It was my first time trying Skyline Rotorua's Stratosfare buffet dinner, and we had a fantastic experience there We enjoyed the delicious dishes they made, especially the garlic butter prawns we ordered It again and again, slow-cooked beef ribs and lamb chops The platters were delivered personally to our table, very hygienic We really appreciate the amazing customer service that Terry offered, and thanks for making a 'congratulations' card for us! Very lovely
Incredible food. Very good price for what you get. The guy working the bar around 7pm on the 23rd of April was the best bar tender. He loved his job so much and was super helpful and knowledgable. Definitely needs a pay rise!! The buffet was incredible and every food there was fresh and tasty. Including the deserts!
Stratosfare Restaurant & Bar Rotorua As an ADS-acrreditated tour guide, i used to come here a lot and it was all packed and crowed. This visit after many years of Covid global pandemic, the rest is open, staff service is good, food is good, view is unchaged, the only changed is the emptiness of the rest. Lots of locals doing the Luge next door but they seldom dine in here. I hope one day this place can be popular again. Unfortunately, we a table of 9 didn't find a great selection. We had an evening booking, with a view, most of the food on offer was almost container empty and stations not manned. Cooked Mussels - not much left, no roast pork or lamb, no Yorkshire pudding, I literally had broken biscuits with my cheese empty dish. No Gouda, no variety of cheeses - just roquefort and Camembert. It wasn't value for money. On the upside, the views were spectacular.
Lovely meal, exceeded expectations! Great friendly service from all members of staff and stunning views! High chairs for the babies available too, very happy guests.
LOVE IT!!! Handsdown the best resturant to visit in Rotororua. The staff are awesome. Very friendly and so very helpful. The food is the best, if you love buffet this the place to be. Their salmon sushi is so yummy and their lamb chops is well seasoned full of flavour. The desserts are the best! Very spacious and clean restaurant. Location is perfect ,it has the best views whilst you dine. I cannot wait to go back.
great food and lovely atmosphere. $79pp gondola+lunch. very nice and accommodating staff. mussels+white wine sauce was yum, seafood chef was friendly too.Food: 5/5
Liked it mostly because we had a gorgeous view of the city while we dined. Compared to other buffet restaurants, this one had a little bit more variety but not as much as I expected. Quality wise, it was pretty good. The dessert selection was okay. Good for special occasions.Food: 4/5
