Story

Stonecroft is a family owned winery in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. It was one of the first wineries to be established in the Gimblett Gravels Wine Growing District®. At Stonecroft, we continue to make a small quantity of wine, using traditional methods. Stonecroft is well known for its Syrah, Zinfandel, Gewürztraminer and Chardonnay wines. We also make a Hawke's Bay style Sauvignon Blanc and a Merlot/ Cabernet Sauvignon blend. Both the winery and original vineyards are fully certified organic through AsureQuality and have IFOAM accreditation.

Nice tasting today. Nice organic wines in a simple unpretentious setting.
ORGANIC WINES!! Incredible taste! Great selection. Lovely winemaker who told us all about the wines. This winery had the some of best wines in Hawkes Bay! Don’t miss the old vine chardonnay and the serrine red.
Owner was very helpful. A boutique sort of vineyard with a good range of wines. We buy their wines as some don't contain sulphides which don't agree with my partner.
Out of all the wines I tasted in Hawkes Bay, this was one of my favourites. All the wines were outstanding and being organic was a bonus too.
A bit off the beaten track but wonderful wines.
Had the undressed syrah. Beautiful!
This place is good and worth a stop, but nothing stood out as exceptional. The wines were nice, however no stand-outs in my opinion. The tastings were $5 which is very standard for the area. The atmosphere of the farm was quite charming, however it wasn't a place to linger. Their dog was very friendly!
Small inside area for tasting allowing around 5 people at the bar with a barrel for two as well, outdoors there were a few tables. Wine was good, however service was a tad average and seemed like a script was being read from with no enthusiasm.
