They make fantastic real fruit ice creams, definitely worth a stop! Staff were very friendly and there’s plenty of outdoor seating in their beautiful garden.
Had a lovely ice cream and cup of tea on Sunday. Other food was excellent. Sat outside under the trees by the very pretty gardens. Very relaxing and very friendly staff. A great place to go.
The place was pretty great actually. The garden has been really nicely done so in good weather it really is a treat to sit and eat and drink there. The lady who served us was very friendly too. It was, however, more expensive than a few of the other cafes we visited in the area, but the food quality was the same.
Stone House Gardens is definitely worth the stop! We were heading to Dunedin and decided to stop here to stretch our legs and grab a coffee. Their ice cream looked too good to pass up try the summer nectarine!. The ladies working were very kind and the gardens are absolutely beautiful.
I loved the place. Very nice garden and very kind people. We liked the ice creams. If you pass this road, give yourself a nice short refreshing here.

Live jazz once in a while, happy straff and great ice cream is the unique selling point of this great venue. They also provide customers with good coffee options and will even sell you delicious fruits and berries. A must if you are travelling from Dunedin to Queenstown and need a short rest from your travels.
Enjoyed a fabulous lunch. Would be great for an event. Beautiful setting and delicious locally sourced food.
