At STIHL SHOP Northwood we pride ourselves in our sales as well as service, with our purpose built workshop we have a wide range of diagnostic and repair equipment. We supply, repair and service anything from Chainsaws to Ride On Mowers.

Story

Fosters Outdoor Power Equipment was established in 1973 as a small husband and wife business. It started off with Barry servicing and repairing machines in an old caravan in the back yard. Since then, it has progressed from a 2 person business to a 25 person company.
This includes three STIHL SHOP retail outlets: Fosters in Blenheim Road, Northwood and one in Rangiora.

The Foster family and Fosters Outdoor Power Equipment Ltd have been in association with STIHL New Zealand for over 35 years.

At Fosters we pride ourselves in our sales as well as service, with our purpose built workshops we have a wide range of diagnostic and repair equipment.
We supply, repair and service anything from Chainsaws to Ride On Mowers.

With our well respected and knowledgeable technicians we constantly strive to improve our customer service level and knowledge so our customers are always satisfied.

friendly knowledgeable team... Great at taking your money.. Unfortunately the after sales service is average to poor. The Still saw I bought there bites like a dingo but the mechanical know-it-alls refuse to look at it under warranty. "because they sell hundreds of saws and they are all fine"
Stopped in today to pick up my generator having left it there for two weeks to repair ... only to be told sorry we can't fix it. You told me parts aren't available but when I spoke with the mechanic he said its because you don't have an account at the parts retailer. I would have happily gone and got the parts for you if required... two weeks ago. Your job sheet says text when ready... no surprise you didn't reach me when calling. Disappointed to be charged for a job you say you can do when I drop it off to wait two weeks to then say you can't do . Not a good experience.

These guys have fixed my mower a few times and I've ordered a few pairs of boots through them far cheaper than any other outlets might I add and have always found them prompt, helpful ,friendly and very reasonably priced. I don't understand the couple of 2 star reviews. D
I thought that service like that died with the dinosaurs! Fantastic from when I rang up to when I arrived. The mechanic Richard had a look at my lawn mower....and breathed life back into it within miniuts, and explaining everything to me as he resuscitated it to a clean bill of health. Good old fashioned service!!! And very happy to bring the mower back for a full service, knowing that it's in good hands. I recomend them without a second through. Very happy customer
Staff were super helpful. Had the wrong chain supplied by a different store the bloke there accepted the packaged chain as a return and exchanged it for the correct one. He then adjusted the chain length to suit my saw and fitted it at no charge. Learned a bit about electric lawn mowers while I was there too. Couldn't ask for more.
