At the end of June 2014, my husband and I, our dog Amba and three chickens left the hussle and bussle of Auckland city for the quieter paced life of the countryside.
It had taken us three years to find our little slice of Paradise and we were very excited to be finally moving in.
Lots has happened since then. Lots!
We have learned many lessons too. The very first, a very good piece of advice from our neighbour Cliff, was that wherever there is live stock there is dead stock; that good things take time; patience really is a virtue; and to NEVER under estimate the intelligence of a duck!
