Since 1996 Steve Houston has started 1000’s of horses under saddle. Steve's main aim is to produce calm, confident and well-mannered horses.

Story

Are you interested in having your horse started under saddle, learning how to create a soft, sensible horse, or need some assistance with horse problems?

Since 1996 Steve Houston has started well over 1000 head of horses under saddle who have gone on to be ridden in all disciplines, from western and trail riding to dressage and showjumping. He has also worked with many problem horses.

Steve has spent alot of time in the USA and Canada attending clinics with the likes of Ray Hunt, Robin Hahn and Buck Brannaman to further his knowledge with horses.

Steve's main aim is to produce calm, confident and well mannered horses by installing the foundation to a co-operative and trusting relationship between horse and rider.

Throughout the year he holds popular clinics around New Zealand to help people learn these groundwork and ridden skills for themselves.
