Lauren is just wonderful! She has done an amazing job colouring my hair gold, silver and copper sparkles - more than lovely and the cut really suits me. My hair looks and feels so nice and I walked away today feeling great. So far I have everyone saying they really like it. I couldn't be happier.

An absolute rip off! Stay away! I asked to have my hair curled/waved. The waves lasted about maybe only 1 hour before it dropped. I thought it may have been because of the weather conditions outside. I decided to give them another try and to my dismay the same thing happened again. I left the salon with very loose curls that dropped within 20 minutes - this is not an exaggeration. Also - on my first visit I was charged $75. On my second, which was only 2 weeks apart, I was changed $95 for the same service. Absolutely ridiculous. Please stay away.

Hannah is by far amazing. I've seen her three times for bleach & tone root retouches and for vintage curls for an event refer to photos. I highly recommend Stephen Marr as a salon, and especially Hannah as the stylist.

Nightmare Experience! It was my first visit to Stephan Marr.Made an appointment for haircut and styling with Senior Stylist for an important event. And it was a disaster! Instead of a beautiful haircut was quoted $ 140 and a good mood, I came out almost crying with one thought: “how happy I am that this is not my children’s wedding!”.While in the salon the Stylist and Stephan told me that I don’t need a haircut. Trusting they're the professionalism I followed their direction and changed from haircut to “Cezanne”treatment. They did not tell me how it will affect my hair, just pressured me to do it and told me the price. I never had a reason not to trust the stylist I only had wonderful experiences with other stylists!As a result, I ended up spending $686 for the Cezanne keratin smoothing, trim by 1cm, and “free” shampoo – and they still charged me for the haircut! I left the salon completely unhappy with my hair. After the initial shock wore off, I came back to talk to Stephan to express my disappointment. Mostly about lack of advice on procedure. He berated me and my sense of style and told me that my opinion was not important. What was supposed to be a great start to a wonderful day was completely ruined by the disappointment of hair I ended up with an arrogant behavior of Stephan when I tried to address it. Be careful, please!!P. S. If you still want to visit this salon. Take a screenshot of your online order. When I checked my order, it was completely different from not only what I initially ordered but also what was actually done to my hair.

The main reason for two stars is the variables in pricing and the result of the cut where they cannot give you a proper quote until job is done and the cut is not quite what I have expressed my hair roots is like same length which I tried to avoid. People are friendly, cut skill is not as great as Shiai the stylist in Ponsonby plus the price is more expensive than Ponsonby even for their senior stylist. I did minimal hair colouring which only took 30mins to complete and wash also took less than 15mins and all not done by the senior stylist Dave, instead handled by different stylists. Not the usual hairdressing experience that equates to the price. I feel over charged for the minimal request that I have asked. $269 for cut and minimal colouring which is only to cover grey hair is way too much. Most likely go back to the stylist in Ponsonby where the price was as quoted and charged more fairly.
