"St Peter-in-the-Forest is a beautiful Victorian church, given Grade-II listed status in 2009. As well as being an active church at the heart of our mission, our building is also a visitor centre and a gateway from Waltham Forest to Epping Forest. Our brand-new, purpose-built community spaces inside and outside—in our ancient woodland churchyard—are perfect for all manner of group activities and community uses.St Peter-in-the-Forest is fully wheelchair-friendly, with landscaped paths through our churchyard, a lift to the first floor, and an accessible toilet. There are two bus stops immediately outside our church on the Woodford New Road, and other nearby transport links. You can use our driveway for drop-offs but there is no parking."

We hired Peterhouse hall for a toddler birthday party, with bouncy castle and soft play set up from the Red Balloon Foundation. It was absolutely perfect for our needs and both children and adults had a brilliant afternoon! The booking process was really smooth too we had a last minute change of plan to our original booking date and needed to postpone, and the venue couldn't have been more accommodating. Would thoroughly recommend for any E17 parents looking for a party venue.
Enchanting church in the outskirts of Epping Forest. Don't miss the lovely Café inside!
A nice little church. Nice decor and atmosphere.
Newly refurbished church. Quite beautiful. Surrounded on three sides by first. There is a circle of trees behind the church which feels sacred. Go there stand in the middle and feel nature embracing you
Visited for their tour of church and photo exhibition. Really enjoyable. Lovely guide. Volunteers in tea shop so friendly and welcoming. A lovely visit.
Beautiful church recently renovated. Didn't get to see it all as it was end of the day. The café was wonderful as was the seating area.
Reopened after extensive renovation work. Really friendly congregation.
We visited to see the Wood Street exhibition. Lovely surroundings, found a short cut through the forest. Well worth the visit.
Good venue. Had external Catering but had no refuse disposal bags or facilities or directions.
We visited only the cemetery, which is a flower paradise: lots of snowdrops, purple crocuses, yellow crocuses.
