Story

St Peter's Presbyterian Church is the church 'Just Round The Corner, But Not round The Bend and definitely at the Heart of the Community.

We've been in the community here in Ellerslie Mt Wellington, for well over 100 Years, as a worshipping and caring community. Situated at 7 Harrison Rd, just off the Ellerslie Panmure Highway in Auckland (and thus the church just round the corner) we are the centre of many activities that happen in the community.
On Sunday three different church groups meet here to worship... @ 9:30 there is the St Peter's Service, a multi cultural multi generational worship service that is a blend of the best of contemporary worship with our Presbyterian traditions. Welcoming to all and family friendly.

At Midday the Antioch Korean church meets here for a service in Korean and lunch.

The at 6pm Christo Vienne gather for a vibrant worship service in Spanish and English. It is a church that caters mainly for the south American community in Auckland, but it a vibrant multi cultural affair.

During the week we have a whole raft of things happening.
Monday mornings there is a playgroup for pre-schoolers. We have a well fenced off play area round the back that the kids love.
Tuesday there is Communicare for the elderly and disabled. Which provides a reat opportunity for friendship and also is a great place to come and volunteer if you are looking for service opportunities.
Wednesday we have mainly music for mom's and pre-schoolers.
Friday we have sporty for kids (again for moms with pre-schoolers).
there is a community garden if you want a plot or want to come and help.
throw in antenatal classes, toastmasters and various support groups that meet here and you can see that St peter's is a very vibrant place... or as we like to see ourselves as a 'vibrant, sustainable, authentic community.'
