For me it is place to stop, sit and think... everytime I can, I always go inside the church, I like these huge buildings full of peace... there is almost nothing special to see, but you can sit there for a while, relax, feel the place, fell the walls, windows, candles, even you can watch another people walking, taking pictures, sitting with you...
We had visited this church a couple years ago in the summer, and it was under renovation. It was still a lovely experience. We visited again recently in early spring, and it is even more wonderful. Very nice to see the full building, and a beautiful place any time.
Beautifully restored and well kept church. Free to access when visited in November 2022. There weren’t any guides or audio guides available when visited. They have a crypt which I found quite gloomy and didn’t stop to check out properly. Plenty of art and sculptures to see and check out. Visited during a public bank holiday so I suspect that the place would be open on a Sunday as well. The whole visit took about 25 minutes on the way to other places in Leuven.

Nice gothic church with a very interesting flemish art collection. To get acquainted with the art better you can use VR glasses or special tablets.

Another site you could hardly miss is Saint Peter’s Church, which is near the town hall. The Church is beautiful but I feel its inside decorations are too modern .
Fascinating church with some extraordinary artwork. I would definitely recommend getting the guide for a bit extra money, it gives you an extra insight into the world-famous works and other shrines etc in the church. Definitely a place to visit if you enjoy history, art and Low Countries medieval art.
What an impressive Building, inside and out. It is still a functioning church, but you are allowed to go inside and look around.
