Only in my second year here and I can't be more happy. They have supported me while I have struggled so so much theese last 2 years. They added me in the conversationss of what we should do and what would help. And although the counciling office tends to be busy the lady's there make a killer hot coco and are there to give the best motherly advice. This school IS my happy place. I am so proud to be a part of such an amazing school. It has its flaws but the staff are amazing and just so kind and understanding. Thank you so much for theese amazing frist few years. Can't wait to update this when finished to tell how this amazing chapter in my life ended.
st margarets dont care about your daughter, they care about their stats and making money .privileged and pretentious girls will be mean, and teachers that dont know how to deal will not help. They use scare tactics to keep you quiet and usually blatantly ignore mental health warning signs. some teachers as individuals are awesome people. but as a whole this school is a mental health disappointment, just a harsh environment that encourages girls to regurgitate information. not only did i feel out of place with all the rude entitled girls but also with the teachers that enabled that behaviour. i must advise that if you are thinking about sending your daughter here, the education is good. but the mental and emotional cost can be detrimental. years of therapy. i want my money back. sincerely - Jules
After attending a competing private school, we have seen much improvement in our daughters overall wellbeing, academic success and strong, supportive friendships. The staff have been most supportive and level headed.
Left wing and woke. We expected a traditional conservative Anglican school. What we got is far from the traditional values of the founders. Better than a state school for sure, but not worth the money. Good if your child is very sporty or gifted and likes to say a Maori word in every sentence. If that is not the case - just another girl in a big crowd.
'm not from Christchurch originally, I was so impressed by the school. I met several senior school through my friends hair salon. The girls were all so polite and well spoken. I couldn't believe how mature and confident they are. Since sending my own daughter there I can not recommend it highly enough.
Loved my entire time at this incredible school. I’ve never felt so supported and as a private school especially I feel that SMC is standout in terms of equality and inclusiveness. Thank you SMC
The facilities available at St Margaret’s are outstanding. From the court to the classroom and even the studio spaces, we love coming into this inspiring environment - Haidee Stratford, Trident Homes Tactix General Manager
