A relaxed, friendly community based playgroup for parents/caregivers with preschool children, providing music & movement, morning tea, craft and free play
We have a great group of people coming to each focus playgroup session. It provides the opportunity for you to enjoy meeting other adults and to interact with your children while they undertake great activities, knowing they are enjoying themselves.
Each day has a different group of people attend and is run by a different team of parents/caregivers. You are more than welcome to visit any day to see which one suits you and your
children best.
Though each day is run separately, the format for each session is the same, as follows;
9.00am Set up the hall and equipment
9.30am Music and Movement
10.00am Sit down morning tea for the children and coffee/tea and cake for the parents/caregivers
10.20am Free play, craft activity, play dough
11.00am Clean up and pack away the equipment
We ask that each parent/caregiver volunteers for at least
one job per term, such as providing morning tea (coffee/tea/
sugar supplied), making the play dough etc. Everyone is asked to pitch in as much as possible with the initial set up and clean up at the end as well as interacting with children throughout the session.
We have a committee that meets once a term to share new ideas, arrange activities, and plan for the months ahead.
