During the school holidays, I took my kids to Spookers, a thrilling place designed for kids. One of the actors did amazing job entertaining our kids and make them comfortable to visit hau ted house specially. Although it was a bit scary, it made my kids feel thrilled and uncomfortable at the same time. I'd definitely recommend it for kids who enjoy a good scare! Definitely will visit r18 one soon with friends
Today, 20 Dec, we visited Spookers. Due to long queue at ticket counter and for each activity the return trip took total 4 hrs. We started from hime at 7:30 pm and reached Spookers at 08:15 pm. There is enough parking space available and staff was available to help. There was long queue at ticket counter and we got our wristbands at 09:00 pm. We paid $220 for 4 peoples for all 3 activities- Haunted house, woods, and Disturbia. We entered the arena and decided to start with Haunted house. There is a good cafe and toilets too. At haunted house, big queue was there and we started activity at around 09:40 pm. The activity took around 15 minutes and then we moved to “woods”. Again there was long queue and we stared our activity at 10:20 pm. The activity took around 10 minutes and then we moved to last activity, Disturbia. Thank god, there was no waiting time. We completed the activity in 10 minutes and finally left for the day. I will suggest to avoid Christmas holidays to avoid the long queues. You can complete all 3 activities in less than 60 minutes. Also, Haunted house is best. Second best is Woods. Disturbia is ok and if required you can skip that. It’s one time activity.
We loved the actors so so much they are the bestnSpookers really need to hire more staff, so they can jumpscare more.nnDisturbia - was quite cool with all the 3d and the spinning bridge at the end but really lacked jump scares.nnThe woods - the best one, the chainsaws were very cool, I was expecting people to pop out the bushes but they were mainly in their little huts or around the corner.nnHaunted house - so much potential! They need to allow more space between the groups as we found we keep catching up to the group ahead of us and the group behind us kept close behind us. Which led us to miss out on a lot of jumpscares both animatronics and actors jumpscaring.nnAs a group we feel the owners need to spend more money on spookers hiring way more staff to enhance the experience. The actors were amazing They were entertaining the people waiting in queues to make it less boring, which was great!nI think you need to put a seperate line for the ones they have already paid for tickets online.nnWait times weren’t that long:nQueue time to get our wristbands: 35 minutesnDisturbia queue: 3 mins only 2 groups infrontnThe woods queue: 15-20 minsnHaunted house queue: 25 mins
The times I had been here before were a lot better than this time I had been, I feel like they don't have enough staff like they used to. If you have not been here before I would think you would enjoy the scary staff . But also might need to wait a fair while in the line to get your tickets. If you go in winter through the 'woods' make sure you wear shoes that you don't mind getting dirty as the grounds are a bit muddy.
We took 7 boys aged 8-13 on the R8 Taste of Terror for a birthday 2pm-4pm. The boys had a great time and it was a worthwhile outing. Special mention to the scary make up which was well done and great value at $5 pp. Our guide gave a great character performance and showed the kids how the actors navigate the premises to scare people on the R13 and R18 events and gave the kids a few fun frights as well. They all want to come back when they are 13.nnPlenty of parking and a good cafe on site.
