Xanthe has been diagnosed with bipolar 1 disorder and PTSD. This page is some of her art as therapy as well as bird photographs she has taken.

Story

Xanthe Wyse is seeing rainbows through all the shit that goes with Bipolar Disorder. Xanthe has been diagnosed with Bipolar 1 (severe mania and depression) and lost everything while suffering from this disorder.

She can no longer do pet sitting nor teaching because of her mental health issues but she is determined to keep going. The waiting list of a trauma psychologist is long so she does DIY art therapy to help her develop and write stories with a bipolar main character.

Her vision is more than one art exhibition in New Zealand when she finally completes at least one book - a very challenging when she keeps forgetting and her brain struggles to be organised. Her aim is to reduce stigma about mental illness, with a focus on bipolar disorder. Plus a project that helps give her meaning that she hopes will help others.
