South Indian food is alright but your Sambhar is tasteless and watery without any veggies in it as Sambhar is blend of nore veggies than just onions and tomatoes. Even the tomato chutni was kinda sweet, coconut chutni wasn't fresh.
Used to get their chicken tandoori back in 2021 which were good portion and sizes for $2.50 per piece. Order the same recently expecting the same and was hugely disappointed. Paid $3.50 for nugget size portions. The chicken tasted old as well. Poor service
I had ordered the butter chicken yesterday and after taking 1 bite i was thrown off. My chicken tasted like fish in sweet curry sauce absolutely disgusting. I don't think me and my sister will be eating here again
We went to the Base, Spice Traders with the kids during the holidays. The store obviously was experiencing staff shortages. As every place in NZ currently But the hostess inspite of this, went out of her way to provide us with fresh vegetarian options. We had their masala dosa which was made in front of us. it was perfect, as was their vegetable biryani and paneer and peas curry! We will definitely visit again. Thanks Vegetarian options: Many many options!! Kid-friendliness: Plenty of space for kids in the foodcourt and many other activities to keep them entertained during the holidays Parking: Plenary of parking in the mall
Ordered on uber eats and disgusted. No taste ordered 3 different meals all tasted the same! Bland! Tikka Masada, hot mango chicken and butter chicken hugely disappointed that I didn't know it was a mall Indian outlet.
Ordered a butter chicken combo for lunch today. The size is small, and tastes like curry water on rice, with no flavor at all. Terrible meal.
I had chicken roll, but roll has spices but no salt, I wasted the complete roll.
This is the worst restaurant I have ever eaten. They are serving yesterday's leftover food. Frozen biryani and watery chicken kadhai... Cold naan bread. Totally disappointed by the food, that comes with such a high price point compared to what its worth. Please do yourself a favour and never buy anything from here. Just burn your money like normal people
Quite decent take on the classic lamb Rogan Josh. Although not near gourmet but a bold attempt with the street style food. Pretty impressive flavors for food court cuisine. I usually don't have such dishes at the food court but the cravings go the better of me. Overall an OK dish.
The most disappointing meal and service we have ever received. We ordered Chicken korma. It had three pieces of meat and the gravy was full of sugar and we could not taste any spice. When asked, the new girl could only tell us off by stating mild curries all have sugar. It was really sweet like a dessert and being Indian food, we expect Indian not sweet made for Europeans as explained by the staff.
