Came here on a Monday. Nice and quiet. The atmosphere was extra chill and the staff were super friendly. Wendy was a gem and an absolute delight to talk to. The brews were well priced at $9 and the food was delicious. Definitely worth stopping in if you want To relax and enjoy a tasty beverage.Food: 5/5
Had been here once before and had the best service with amazing food. So we stopped again, only this time was rather different. Smart/sarcastic rude but cheeky waitress. Who luxed while we were eating, then started cutlery washing on a table away from us. Apart from that, great food once again, after steak going back to be cooked to liking, great price if you stay at the #ashburtonbellavista Wheelchair accessibility: Ground floor, big open main door.
Classic brewery house, multiple tap of lager and IPA selection. Cosy interior friendly staff with very good service. Great Comforting food for gatherings with family and friends! Parking: Free for 60 mon around the vicinity
After a long day of traveling my wife and I enjoyed a lovely hot bowl of mussels and a chicken parcel. It was an older crowd, no kids when we went in. Seems like they’ve also done a bit of training with their wait staff based on some negative reviews left a few months ago because the service we had was great. They kept checking in on us and were happy to bring drinks over to save us ordering at the bar. Mussels were perhaps a little pricey at $32.5. Had a similar sized bowl at a restaurant in Franz Josef for $23. Very delicious though and would happily go back.
Disappointed with service, the meal was good but unfortunately one particular staff member decided to prejudge our group. Whole evening was ruined with her attitude towards one person in our group, when questioned about why she told the other person that she knew we would be trouble as soon as we walked in..... all we wanted was to enjoy our meals we sat at our table we weren't loud annoying or disrespectful we were a group of 4 catching up, she didn't like being asked about why she had an issue and basically threw the money back for meals.
Always a lovely visit here to the Speights Ale House, Ashburton. I have been here more times than I can count. The staff have always been lovely, the food is always beautiful, I genuinely love coming here. I chose this venue for my birthday dinner recently for a group of roughly 20 people, and none of us were disappointed. A massive thank you to Wendy, very welcoming and I love interacting with you when I’m in. Keep it up team, you’re all awesome!
Had dinner while over for a professional Development course. Staff were very welcoming. Though very busy you didn’t feel rushed. The Cherry Chicken was superb. Loved it.
friendly easy to talk too staff wonderful service great foodFood: 5/5
Field mushrooms should not be button mushrooms. Easy over eggs should not be greasy and done on one side only. Pork belly should have been hot, not luke warm. 3 hours later and it is still weighing heavily on my stomach. Would never go there again.Food: 1/5
Ordered the roast beef and Yorkshire pudding the meal arrived and nothing said, when I asked where the Yorkshire pudding was got told it has been out of stock for weeks. I am not impressed by that answer and think it should be taken off the menu not left there to fool the customersFood: 4/5
