Cody - what an outstanding young man. Here is a guy with a real good head on his shoulders, extremely personable and friendly, a joy to talk with. We would be in good hands for the future if there were more young people like him. He is a credit to the organisation. Went there on a Sunday, when you first see the shop it can be deceiving as the entrance is down the side of the building, if you look at the front it can seem like it's not open and is small and cramped. Not actually the case. It is quite expansive, has good prices and from the selection of things available, you might feel like a kid in a lolly shop. I know I did. Will definitely return I live in Auckland and plan to be in Rotorua again on Tuesday. Hope Cody is on shift then.
Store tidy but very expensive for an op shop especially in comparison to others in Rotorua. $2 per book, $4 for a plain mug, $5 for a record, $25 for some worn chuck Taylor’s. Other op shops five mins from this sites location and also for a charity have books more competitively priced at 50c, 5 for $2 etc. No longer on our regular visit list unfortunately.
Don't let the front of the store fool you!! The store is much bigger than it looks. Some lovely pieces in this op shop and a great cause too.nnDon't forget to stop in and find your trinkets and treasure!
havent actually had the chance to go in. we've tried to visit twice, once at 4pm and today at 3.45pm and both times theyve been shut, despite the sign saying it shuts at half 4.
Popped into this shop today to drop off some goodies, only to discover that Lyn the back bone of the store was leaving in a few days. This amazing woman has given so much to this organisation and she will be sorely missed by her loyal followers/clientele. Since the store opened in Rotorua, Lyn has been there, quietly working away like a little beaver. Her dedication to the SPCA has been absolutely outstanding! Thanks so much Lyn for the unstinting effort and all the very best in your next venture. With lots of woofs and tail wags … from Pepsi the Shiba Inu x Japanese Spitz + her Mum & Nana.
