Welcome to Southland Multicultural Council
Southland Multi-Nations was formed from a public meeting held in 1998. In 1999 it became an incorporated society, Southland Multi-Nations Council Inc. In 2010 the organisation had a name change to Southland Multicultural Council Inc. so that all ethnic councils in New Zealand affiliated to the National Federation would be multicultural councils.
Southland Multicultural Council is registered with the Charities Commission - number CC27119.
Our aim is to make Southland a safe and welcoming place for newcomers, where we can all learn to appreciate, enjoy and celebrate our cultural differences and diversity.
