Our Milford Sound experience was made extra special by Southern Discoveries. Customer service was excellent; the staff took care of us all throughout the trip. Food was great too as there was a variety of food served in the buffet. We were also shown to the best places to make our trip memorable. This trip will forever be etched in our memories. Top notch experience to Milford Sound with Shell! Throughout the 5-7 hours coach ride to Milford Sound, Shell kept us entertained with stories, interesting facts of NZ and a local movie. He was passionate and kind, showing great experience working on tours like this. His driving skills were great and the coach was in tiptop condition.
Took a tour to Milford Sound from this company! Well worth it! Our driver, Sal/Shell Din’t get the spelling was incredible. Shared a lot about New Zealand and stories which were funny. He was in fact funny throughout the coach journey so we were entertained.
The boat trip aboard the Spirit of Queenstown on Lake Wakatipu was truly remarkable. Despite the rainy weather and sparse attendance, the experience was nothing short of delightful. The friendly staff and knowledgeable captain made the journey enjoyable and informative, offering excellent value for money. Despite the mist veiling the mountains, the scenery was breathtaking, with the deep green hues of the lake casting an enchanting spell. A must-do experience, rain or shine, for anyone visiting Queenstown.
I opted for the package inclusive of morning bus ride both ways for 4.5 hours, the cruise, the picnic lunch wrap/ sandwich and an underwater observatory, which I think is great price for so many activities. And I’d also mention the bus guide explained everything in detail with adding a lot of humour, kept us entertained. Did not realise when did I pass 8-10 hours on the bus
Amazing experience of coach and cruise tour to Milford sound. Our coach guide Keith had wealth of local knowledge to share along the way and had few stopovers to take photos of some nice scenic places. Our journey to Milford sound and back to Queenstown was a pleasant experience. Highly recommended if you want to have a relaxed experience with some great photos and gain lot of local knowledge. Cruise experience was also great with food and drink options and plenty of place to walk and sit.
It was really awesome experience, if you wanna see a real south island in New Zealand this is the top class activity! Highly recommended. Parking along the street was for free and we had a delicious buffet!
INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Our guide was Stan, who is an incredibly lovely, knowledgeable, funny, all-around classic good kiwi bloke! Where possible, he made stops so that we could get out and take photos on the way to the cruise. He was even thoughtful enough to stop in at a cafe on the way there and on the way back. My only complaint is that on the cruise itself there were several groups of loud, incredibly disrespectful Chinese and Indian tourists. There were so many of them that it would have been unreasonable to expect the crew to tell ALL of them to be mindful of other passengers, but perhaps maybe there could be a warning on the website when booking and prior to boarding? The cruise itself was great and it was incredibly inspiring and humbling to experience such beauty up close, but it would have been so much nicer if all passengers had more respect for each other Again, Stan was AMAZING and I really hope that I get to have him as our guide next time too!! I truly hope that he is getting paid handsomely because he truly went above and beyond!!

very nice one day tour to Milford Sound. the tour guide is very well explained and with jokes. good time management and appropriate break time during the long drive! there is a alpaca farm at one of the resting stop and we can buy their food from the cafe nearby and feed them for $1 totally worth it!
