Sure am glad we took the advice of the lady behind the counter. Level 2 spice was perfect. At 4, would have had smoke coming out of my ears. Soul Shack is hands down the best fried chicken joint in Wellington. Nothing gets more yum and fiery than this.
I disagree to people saying that this place is where I'd find the best fried chicken burger in Wellington... I'd say it's home to the best fried chicken burger in the whole country! Moist, flavorful and that spice is a game changer. Will be taking fellow fried chicken enthusiasts to this place at every opportunity
Best fried chicken in Wellington. Staff are always casual but in a good welcoming way! Been here several times, would recommend the sando. One time they marked the wrong box with the wrong spice level level 0 and level 2 - hilarious! My non-spice tolerance partner still enjoyed the level 2 chicken even though it was a surprise.

Better than kfc’s wicked wings. Might sound like an insult but not a lot of eateries even manage to do that in my opinion so it’s actually high praise.
Always great. Both the food and the crew. Give the burger a go. Beautifully moist fillet....yum Pick your heat carefully tho.
