Good outside yards for horses and ponies kept in good condition. A few more water bucket fill points would be nice. New toilets near arena are an absolute bonus, just need mirrors. Showers in the same place would be fantastic. In summer some sort of sprinkler system to keep the dust down in the arena would be beneficial as even equines without breathing issues found it hard. Found this a nice place to stay.
Great Campground for NZMCA or All Points Camping Club members. Need to provide Club details on registration. Reasonable pricing. Powered or unpowered sites. Toilets/Showers/Laundry & rubbish on site as well as Potable water & Dump station. Lovely outlook over the Showgrounds.
Amazing place to stay if you're a member of NZMCA for $7/person; $10 if hooked up to power and great free showers; washing machines. Dump station and potable water. Peaceful, safe , park anywhere. Beautiful natve bush and nice to park under mature exotic trees in historic showgrounds. Dog exercise area. Farmers Market on Saturday mornings...huge range of food ,crafts and book sale. A wonderful place to stay.
Fab place for motorhomes. lovely park like surroundings and a farmers market on site on Sundays. And a book fair and jumble sale.
watched our nieces ride in appalling weather. grounds very wet such a shame . great facility but due to the weather and the mud we weren't able to explore much. lots of covered and outside stalls for horses. take your gumboots.
