Amazing place to stay if you're a member of NZMCA for $7/person; $10 if hooked up to power and great free showers; washing machines. Dump station and potable water. Peaceful, safe , park anywhere. Beautiful natve bush and nice to park under mature exotic trees in historic showgrounds. Dog exercise area. Farmers Market on Saturday mornings...huge range of food ,crafts and book sale. A wonderful place to stay.
watched our nieces ride in appalling weather. grounds very wet such a shame . great facility but due to the weather and the mud we weren't able to explore much. lots of covered and outside stalls for horses. take your gumboots.
Used to be a great place to stay and family get togethers. Then they closed it to all but members of the NZMCA, no idea why.
