Had breakfast here, and the breakfast was great!! Hard to find a park if your driving, but good service and busy for a Monday with tourist people everywhere. A lot of great options for breakfast/lunch. Had the eggs bene, with the beef enpanada and a choc gluten free muffin. The enpanada was $15.00 but worth it. Customer service - 5/5 Food quality - 5/5 Pricing - a little more expensive verse other spots we have been too on Waiheke. 4/5
Unfortunately we didn't have the best experience at Sol today. From memory it was a really nice spot for some brunch. We might have picked a bad day to come Mothers Day, the staff were clearly overwhelmed with the rush as the food took an hour to arrive. Wait staff were wandering around with drink orders unsure of where to go and by the time our meals arrived they were cold and my eggs Eggs Benne were hard boiled. We'll try come back on a quieter day!
I went to Sol this morning for breakfast before my wedding day. WOW! What an amazing experience. The owner was SO lovely and made the whole time so enjoyable for myself, my family and bridesmaids. Food and coffee was delicious with great variety. Highly highly recommend and thank you so much once again for your kindness. Will always return whenever on Waiheke! :

Wow the new owners have improved this place out of sight! Really Excellent coffee & the food was absolutely delicious! We had the breakfast sandwich. The flavours were superb & price quite reasonable. Great to see & very happy to get our favourite cafe back again.Food: 5/5
Ordered a naked cappuccino, it came with chocolate all over and it was burnt. Staff were nice, views are great. Food choices are pretty ordinary but the cinnamon brioche was light, fluffy and yummy. Without that, would have given it a 2 for the burnt coffee.
Pretty average coriander and corn fritters were a mix of hot and cold though very colourful. Noise of crashing coming from kitchen was horrendous. Service was pretty glum. Fries undercooked and not crisp. Nice view though. But not nice enough to invite a repeat visit. Oyster Inn on another planet.
Surprisingly good black bean burger with an ocean view and a pleasant outdoor setting. Everything else was good as well I'm actually not sure about the walnut muffin, I expect muffins to have some sugar in them and this one had none at all, so I'd warn against them if you are used to sweet stuff. Vegetarian options: Best black bean burger I've had in a while. Perfect balance of textures and taste. Kid-friendliness: Several reasonable options for kids.
