Based on past reviews here I was expecting the Second Coming. The fish was small, but nice. The chips were the mass-produced frozen type, and the hot dog was very thin. Everything was cooked in a healthier, socially-acceptable, tree-hugging flavourless oil but unfortunately the meal wasn't anything special.

Haven't been here for awhile, was impressed with the choice of Terakihi, Groper or Orange Roughy as the fillet options. Chose the Orange Roughy as wasn't disappointed, very decent portion and have to say this place has hands down the best non greasy fish and chips around by a long way. Potato fritter batter is not excessive and nicely crunchy, the squid rings are not those round frozen variety you get at other shops. Highly recommend for the taste and the best way I find out how fresh the fish is is if Artemis the hunter my cat likes the fish too as she will turn her nose up if it's old. So well done So Fine Seafoods you live up to your name.

Overall this place ain't bad. But I have had a few too many inconsistent meals to warrant going again. Most of the time.the fish was nice, and not too oily. But then sometimes it's just meh. Most of the time the time the chips are crispy and we'll seasoned. But then sometimes they are bland and soft.
Very very good fish and chips! Nice touch to choose between straight and crinkle cut fries and different salts.
Awesome food. We have tried their fish and chips, and best in Wellington according to me. As a total surprise, we tried their steak burger, and it was out of this world! A must have! Dont let the name fool you... the have great fish, but their meat dishes are just as good!
