We had a fantastic girls weekend here. Great service, cute rooms. The team were always happy to help and very accommodating! They also made us a beautiful lunch to take on our hike and we came back to a delicious dinner. The spa was an added bonus, a great way to spend an evening after a long hike! Thanks for having us, would definitely come back! Nearby activities: Great access via shuttle to the Tongariro crossing. Lovely to come back to a spa after walking 21km.
I stayed here a few months ago for a girls weekend to walk the crossing hike. This place is a great place for a group booking. Plenty of social space, amenities to fit all needs. When booking we had lots of help with organizing our hike, such as bus transfer and all info we needed to take away any stress and hassle around our hike. We were offered the best service for a stress free long weekend. Highly recommend
We had the most wonderful time here staying for a friends hiking weekend. Owners couldn't have been more helpful organising everything for us - transport to ans from hike, all meals. It was so peaceful and just beautiful. excellent value too. Loved it!Rooms: 5/5
If I could give zero stars I would. We had an awful experience here and I would recommend sleeping in the public toilets over Snowy waters. Not only was the service absolutely unacceptable, we couldn’t open our room windows during the muggy days, there was no coffee in any of the kitchen coffee jars and it was so cold at night that I had permanent nipple freeze; considering there was a random male walking around the site while we were staying, I felt quite unsafe being in such a lethargic, Madonna nipple state. Seriously recommend a tent at the local Caltex if you’re even considering staying here.
Would not recommend this place to anyone. We had a mixed group of family and friends stay here from 0 to 89, and excited to be under one roof to celebrate my cousins wedding, our experience was just disappointing we left feeling like we weren't welcome from the time we arrived by the owner. Noteworthy details: Don't use the spa either you'll be accused of wrecking it because they did not service it properly or note that it was out of service.
We came here to stay for our anniversary, we believe in giving back to the community and supporting local. It is with so much regret to report that our kindness led us astray. So much disappointment in this decision, next time we will travel an extra 30 minutes and stay somewhere deserving of our honest ways. Snowy waters, stop taking advantage of kind and loving families.
Snowy Waters was just perfect for a friends weekend away - everything was organised for us - meals, transport to do the Tongariro crossing amazing and even a packed lunch! It was spacious, comfortable and quiet - perfect for a gaggle of girls!Rooms: 5/5
This was the perfect central island location to bring together our friends for a birthday, we hired the whole lodge out and it perfectly suited our needs. The kitchen facilities and wood fire pizza oven made it easy to cater for everyone. The rooms are tidy and comfortable. Sandy truly was the perfect host and made sure we were able to enjoy the weekend working hard in the background to make our stay comfortable. We will be recommending this spot to all who have similar needs and will definitely visit again in the future.
Rude. Disrespectful and almost ruined a friends wedding by “double booking”. The rooms, beds etc werent clean my window in my room couldnt even open so was stuffy, had people walking through “checking” on us which was weird and annoying! Noteworthy details: Dont book this place. Owner has not been nice about her own mistake with the bookings.. didnt offer any discount for the horrible exp. Do not stay here
Argh, this place!!! I actually can’t deal with how horrible of an experience we had staying here. Toilets - ew. Kitchen - gross. Bed - no thanks. Just a no from meRooms: 1/5
