The salmon was off and there was no apology nor anyone from the kitchen / management willing to look at it or replace the meal. The $20 burger was less than average and I wouldn't have paid $10 for this cheap meat. Drinks took an age to come. The fact that you're forced to pay in advance for the food leaves all the power with the terrible management and a total disregard for their customers. What a shame, they used to be good here pre Covid times and we talked about booking a Christmas lunch here... No way would I do that after today's experience.
DO NOT EAT HERE!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! I ordered the beef burger and it was the WORST burger I’ve ever had. The description said “Beef burger with chips and a SALAD” but the salad never came and when I asked them where’s the salad they said that the salad “came in the burger”. The only vegetables were some crusty old lettuce and tomato. It had 2 bits of pre made beef patty stuck together and was so disgusting. My friend ordered the Eye Fillet at medium rare which was a whopping $30 and it was raw!!! He threw up in the bathrooms because of how disgusting it was. Service is very poor, we had to order ourselves at the bench and I had to wait there for about a minute before the staff woman got off her phone realised someone was there waiting to order. Do not order food here unless you are willing to pay for very overpriced bar food that has been frozen and reheated.
I ordered the beef burger! Horrible. Overpriced. I have never had bad chips until I came here, and I used to eat three day old, cold KFC chips. The "salad" on the burger was the white part of iceberg lettuce and a single slice of tomato with the insides missing. I literally got three slices of onion about 1cm long. All the tables were sticky and/or dirty. Just bring your own food and take it in, they probably won't even notice. Edit: The response to this review is not an excuse beyond the place being gross, which I can handle. The lady at the bar rolled her eyes at us when we had to go grab our drinks which the staff forgot to bring with our order. That isn't a low staff issue at all. Management needs to be looked at.
Went here for fathers day 4th September. We ordered the beef burger & chicken pizza, both of which were nothing special, Especially since you are charging very high prices for borderline average food. The burger was equivalent to Burger King and the pizza was nice but basic, The service was poor, we had to take our own drinks to our table. When the food arrived we didn’t get any plates just the trays the food came on. The sad thing is we have eaten there before, the last time just before the initial covid outbreak. At that point the food was excellent. Since then the quality has dropped significantly. I do sympathise with you as covid has affected alot of businesses, however that does not excuse the prices you are charging for takeaways quality. The overall experience was bad enough to the point we went to joes garage yesterday to make up for it.
I left a super long, extremely detailed review on my other account but the review is hidden. So I'm leaving this one. With less detail. NEVER order the burger and fries they are absolutely foul. Not worth the money and the owner lied in a response to another review 6 months ago, saying they had changed the way they make their burgers.
We had a break and grabbed a few things to share. We ordered at the bar and found a table. Between four people we had the nachos recommended by the bar staff and stranger, wedges and curly fries. Decently sized portions and it was quite tasty. Nice view of the slope through the glass. The dining area was partially cleaned when we got there around 2030.
Not that great! Walked in and weren’t served, or directed to a table. Grabbed water and menus ourselves. Ordered 2 hot drinks which arrived quickly and were nicely presented. Also ordered nachos and chicken burger which arrived quickly but nachos were dry and burnt, not the best. The staff looked very lost and disinterested.
I dined here for a work function and we had a 3 course meal. The wait staff were lovely and considerate of our requests. The stater/table nibbles were a bread roll per person and a very sweet salsa or maybe it was meant to be a chutney. For the entree I had pulled pork buns, this was nice, but under seasoned. My main was gnocchi, this was very sweet and again, under seasoned. I didn't enjoy the gnocchi very much and mostly ate the asparagus. The other people dining with me had steak. it looked like a perfect medium rear but unfortunately the sides for this was steamed broccoli and cauliflower and 4-6 chips. I counted. Dessert was the redeeming savior of the evening. I had a plum pudding and wow it was rich, moist and everything I wanted. Picture is of gnocchi main.
The staff were very rude and preferred sniffing each other’s than serving customers. Once they finished sniffing they walked away. Then when the order was taken and we waited for a confirmation she just stared at us. The whole time she had a rude tone. The lady got the order wrong when we went back to order what was missed a different person served and they were equally as rude. It seems that it is a common theme here. We will definitely pack our own lunch next time.
Came in yesterday, was quite disappointed to see half the menu was gone compared to what was on there website. Not much to choose from, pretty average options. However the food was cooked well and all came out pretty fast.
