A small place that tends to fall asleep outside of the holiday season. I stayed for one night and watched the numerous birds on the beach. Flocks of wild ducks and wild geese could be seen overhead. It was heavenly quiet here, even at night.There are few shops here, if you need a lot of choice you have to go to the next town Warkworth.
This room was pretty impressive and more like a condo. Pretty cool place. Why only 2 stars then..? The bed was on floor and horribly uncomfortable and being I was only there for a night, rough night sleep was big part of stay... Was in NZ on 48 day trip and unfortunately this place was on my top 3 list, out of 29 hotels for having the most uncomfortable bed. Time to Invest in better bedding guys.

Great motel with fabulous Cafe/Restaurant called Lite and Local directly across the road. Loved the stay and the meal at the Restaurant was the best. Thoroughly recommended both.Rooms: 5/5
We were greeted on arrival and checked in quickly and pleasantly. The unit was spacious, very clean with everything to make our stay comfortable.
Excellent accommodation 2 bedrooms 1 with a double & 1 with 2 singles. Plenty of room in the kitchen dinette & all the facilities available if your cooking. Pleasant greeting from the lady on the desk & very informative. Excellent view from the balcony we were given.
Nice clean place at affordable prices . Lots of nice restaurants to visit near by. But unfortunately the the walls are paper thin. You can hear people stomping around upstairs and the plumbing going each time it's used . Didn't sleep well the first night but the next night was great as the people upstairs had gone.
So pleased I decided to base myself here for the week to work around the Rodney District. Snells Beach Motel is right up there with the best motels I've stayed in. Scrupulously clean and tidy rooms, plenty of space, quiet, helpful and friendly staff, excellent internet connection with limitless data enabling me to work easily. What more could one ask for - also great cafes and a liquor store across the road, plus its super close to the beautiful beach for wonderful walks!
We had a one night stopover here on our way to Rotarua from Pahia via the forest route. Delightful place, spacious, neat and tidy. The host lady from Australia was so nice felt sorry tho that we had to disturb her late for a fan. I don’t understand why there are no AC’s n the BR.. the hall one does not do it. This was for all of north island hotels other than Auckland. Highly recommended!!!
