Unfortunately the service was not great here over Waitangi weekend, whilst they let us know the wait would be long, it was longer than what was advised. We were all also charged more than what the price stipulated on the menu, without providing us with an explanation why perhaps it’s the long weekend however it would be good customer service to let us know upon payment. I got the hawker roll which cost $21 normally $18 and it was the size of a taco. Do not recommend eating here.
Took the bike out for a ride this morning and stopped in for lunch while in whangamata. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The mussels were delicious, and the chicken burger was just as good. The beverages also went down a treat. Mike, the owner was welcoming, food was served quick and fresh, everything was spot on. Highly recommend, we shall be back!
We ordered the seafood chowder, buttermilk chicken burger, salad and loaded fries and they were delicious! The burger was the best hes ever had! We've eaten at Smash Pipi several times now, and chose the venue for Mums birthday. Never disappointed. The food is beyond good. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good prices. Delicious gluten free and dairy free options. Highly recommend! Dietary restrictions: I am coeliac and dairy intolerant and Smash Pipi has never let me down. Fantastic, delicious gluten free and dairy free options available.
Family run restaurant, founded in 2016, pretty new. Awesome ribs, kids menu affordable and well presented and the seafood food was incredible delicious. I was cold because I swan a bit before going to this place and after the soup, I felt comforting and back to normal. Clean and well maintained establishment, in the middle of the Main Street, great food, great staff. Will be back anytime soon! Thanks!
Shocked at the level of service here. Our server who I suspect is also the owner was not only unfriendly but incredibly rude. I cannot actually recall a time where I was treated with such disdain by someone working in the hospitality industry
Staff were fantastic. BLT was delicious and ample. Fries were forgettable. Service made up for food though.Food: 3/5
My partner and I came here for a late brunch and managed to order from the brunch menu at 11am finishes at 11:30 got a coffee each and both were perfect. My Mediterranean eggs were perfection. Only criticism was the hollandaise, just tasted like mayo, needed lemon juice!
Waited abiut 45-50mins for our food. I ordered the salmon eggs benny. The salmon was so small about the size and thickness of a piece of sidewalk chalk, it was also over cooked and dry. The rest of the food was yummy.
Three of us had dinner here. We found the staff friendly and helpful, the food was fresh and very tasty - and the beer was great!
