It is, as far as I’m concerned, the last of Petone’s truly great cafes from that vibrant period. It’s the only place left where you can sit and genuinely feel it belongs to Petone.nnThe allure of Small Batch lies not only in its atmosphere but also in its offerings. The beans are roasted nearby at the old Unilever factory, ensuring a local touch that enhances the flavor and experience. With the city council’s recent introduction of parking meters on Jackson Street, its location becomes even more appealing. Here, you can enjoy the rich legacy of Petone’s café scene without the hassle of parking fees, making it a perfect destination for locals and visitors alike.

Such a little treasure and not to mention the coffee and food is on point. And the exceptional service is a plus! We were there on a rainy and windy weekday and there were still customers braving the storm which tells you all about this place. Definitely a place I’ll add to my fav list

My partner and I first found this place a few months ago. It has quickly become one of our favourite spots to either dine in or take away their delicious specialist coffee and equally flavoursome meals.nI can't think of a time that I have gone and been disappointed especially recently with their mouth watering competition toastiennCustomer service, music choice and the overall atmosphere is on point. Not to mention very good value for money.nGood work team, keep it up!

The best RIPE coffee. Chris and his team are awesome, nothing is too hard. You ask and you’ll get. Lovely cheese scones. But the coffee and friendliness Small Batch has made it my “go to” for years! Thank you guys!
