Story

Slipper Island is located 3km to the east of the Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand's North Island and 8km southeast of the town of Pauanui. It is a beach resort privately owned by Nora & Abe Needham's 14 children, making it one of the few privately owned islands in New Zealand. The beach resort is 662acre and guests and tourists use the only habitation on the island, the resort and the family homestead.Several smaller islets are found off its southern tip.

Had a great time on the lsland, the weather was fantastic for the three days we were there. Our accommodation was extremely comfortable, the units were well equipped with all the luxury of being at home. The island itself was a peaceful and tranquil place the bird life and other animals seemed to be living in harmony with each other what a wonderful experience.
