Very nice atmosphere. Enjoyed the food a lot. The Chicken burger, seafood chowder and fish and chips were very good, but the fries were the best. The service was really good and the waitress was incredibly kind. Nothing to complain about so thank you very much.
Called in for a quick lunch and ordered two burgers - one chicken and one beef. Service was fast and the presentation good, but after eating half the beef burger it became obvious that it was raw in the centre. The chicken burger was described on the menu as a fillet of chicken but turned out to be a minced chicken patty of dubious taste. Having politely informed the cashier that one burger was not properly cooked and the other incorrectly described on the menu, there was no offer of a discount or waiver. $59 to provide the Slip Inn with a training opportunity was not what I had in mind. Very disappointing. IN any case, the fact that the owner of this restaurant doesn't respond to reviews, either to say thank you to the positive reviews, or to respond to the negative ones, says how out of touch they are as caterers.
The Slip Inn has recently changed owners so I was keen to try the food out. They have kept the usual staples of burgers and fish and chips, and steaks but the stand out and exciting addition to the menu is the in house handmade Italian pasta which is served in genuine Italian pasta bowls.nnI had the homemade pork sausage with peas and cream in pappardelle. Delicious and very authentic.nnGreat to see home made gnocchi and gnudi also on the menu.nnThey do pizza and I’m keen to check that out.nnGood wine list including an excellent range of Italian wines by the bottle.nnI’ll definitely be going back
We had 2 fantastic Mussel pots. Ordered house made pasta, very delicious too. Great tab beer. All in all a great experience
Beautifully steamed mussels. We even found a treat in their crispy chicken. The venue is clean roomy and located next to the gorgeous spot of water and boats. Nice surprise and pleasing taste of the cuisine even suited my very Asian stomach.
