Sweet as luge, fast and short lines. Definitely recommend coming in the evening and doing the night luge as it looks sick and the lines are tiny. Paid for unlimited runs and got 29 in.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNo
The view from Queenstown is stunning. The staff was very friendly. They take a picture of you at the beginning that you can purchase when you come back down - it would be an amazing picture but the background isn’t great. The cable cars are sturdy and easy to go up to. It’s a plus that we can carry on bikes outside the cable car - kids love it as they have a bike trail.
Queenstown has a stunning view. I found the staff to be very friendly. At the beginning, a picture is taken of you that you can purchase at the bottom. If you want a birds-eye view of Queenstown, this is the place to go. If you plan to go up, make sure the weather forecast is clear before going. There are times when the panoramic view of the landscape looks unreal. Luge rides, hikes up the mountain, nice food/bars, and many viewpoints for Instagram pictures. You should get the 3 day unlimited Gondola pass if you are staying in Queenstown for more than three days in order to visit during the day, around sunset, and at night.
Always a great trip. And doing this in different seasons makes such an awesome re-experience. Worth the wait in line but due to bad timing in my part. Great food. Great shop for memorabilia. Got a buff which was not available at hiking shops in town. Spectacular views.Visited onWeekdayWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedYes
Amazing views once you are up at the top. The building work and the noise takes away some of the tranquility but expect the new development will be even more spectacular. You cannot park at the bottom; nearest public parking is at Man street car park.
Highly recommend this place to get a bird’s eye view of Queenstown. It’s best on a clear day, so do check the weather forecast before heading up. We booked a package with the luge, but was too cold to enjoy fully. The market cafe was spacious and had a great view, but not very well maintained. Food selection could have been more exciting as well.
Great views and loads to do up there. I loved the luge. There is a path down to the sit on ski lift to the luge launch area. There are two tracks, everyone must do the easy one before the mode difficult one. You can buy tickets up there.Wait time10–30 minReservation recommendedYes
Get that ‘on top of the world’ feeling. The smooth chairlift ride is breathtaking in itself. The view from the top is just amazing. If you choose not to paraglide or luge you can just take in the atmosphere watching. The walk through the pine forest is quite easy and very peaceful. You won’t be disappointed doing the skyline. Well worth it
Certainly a good place to view the entire Queenstown at NZ$46 per person just for the Gondola. Currently, there is construction going on in that area, and vehicle access is limited. you have to park at nearby car park and walk up to the venue. Up there, the is a restaurant always fully booked with a nice view. There are few places up there where you can have a great view of Queenstown and take some create pictures. Tried cinematic mode using iPhone 14 Pro Max, and the result is fantastic!
Great time, the gondola was like 8 to 10 minutes but the view is great! We enjoyed the luge too. It’s also nice to stay for sunset and watch the night scenery if you can stand the wind and the cold!!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
