This place is clean, tidy and comfortable. The owner is friendly and helpful. It is super recommended. I wish I could go back to see him and this beautiful Kaikora!

Nice Lodge, felt like home
This hostel/hotel is impeccable. All the utilities to cook anything you want in the kitchen. There is a nice garden area with fresh herbs. And the best part, the owner Mike is a legend who truly cares about his guests. Cheers Mike!
Excellent hostel! Extremely clean, free tea coffee and biscuits, all the utensils you'll need and Mike the owner is genuinely nice person. The location is great very close to the small town and there and some amazing views to be had from the hostel 5 stars all the way.
Lovely place to stay very clean and well kept, Mike is a nice guy easy to get along with. Free WiFi with no catches always a plus in my books. Only down side was our room was a little cold and the heater wasn't up to keeping it warm.. BUT you have plenty of covers including a thermal blanket so nice a toastie.
We stayed upstairs and it was spacious and quiet. It really did feel more like a house than a backpackers. We were comfortable and happy with our stay. Only complaint was there was a bit of a delay for assistance with check-in when we arrived.
Nice and comfy place to stay with really friendly management. I would definitely stay here next time.
Only stay here if you enjoy friendly cats, beautiful views of the ocean, and warm hospitality...and also pineapples. Mike the owner is very friendly, the rooms are clean, the location is easy to get to and the price is reasonable.
Great place to stay, affordable ,clean, warm and comfortable. Definitely recomend staying here.
