Love the food , and games . The 2nd time my favorite pork belly wasn't as nice as the photo, the veges were hard, and the pork a tad tough. And the security approached me , after being there a while, asking if I took a break from the games , I was with 2 others who didn't get asked . That was sad . There to have fun and enjoy ,
Dropped in to see a new and vibrant atmosphere. Really pleasant to talk to the Gaming Technician Andrew Sutherland. He explained the new products and features with the stand alone jackpots and gaming machines. Table game staff were pleasant, professional and were sympathetic to my small loss. Enjoyed my brief visit.
Delicious Kai, big portions and good price.
SkyCity Hamilton is OK but it is only a small casino in comparison to other casinos around the world and is only about half the size of Auckland SkyCity. It has some great bars and restaurants one of which has a robot waiter which delivers your food to your table. If you're a kiwi then my 4 stars might be a little stingy and for internationals it maybe a little generous. It's definitely worth checking out for yourself
Terrible experience! Came all the way from Palmerston North just to have a fun night at the casino, all of us dressed to the nines, ready to lose our money and denied at the door by the angriest security lady I have ever met, told her we had driven all this way and what can we do to get in, got told nothing can be done, she’s decided we can’t come in at all that night and to just come back another time, like we should extend our stay because she’s having a bad night, came back the next morning, different woman almost denied us, asked for my ID, which I gave to her because I know I look young, she looked me up and down, asked for my date of birth, I told her, she looked me up and down again, then decided I could in fact come in, I then say to my partner “never had to do that before haha” and she spins around and growls at me to calm down … someone definitely needed to calm down, wasn’t me though. Super uncomfortable and terrible service, definitely won’t be making that trip again. Is it company policy to be rude to every customer and make them uncomfortable?
Great place to go to the casino but not cheap have good time there everytime.....
My daughter and I went for dinner. Had our first wine and the attendant that came so we order our second wine reckoned Oh how many drinks have you had. I said 1 each why?? He reckons on because your speech sounds slurred I'm like what? We've just arrived here Wasn't impressed and it was my first time there too. So we had a second wine each then I went to the counter to go order a 3rd and the same guy was there and saw me coming over awwh He spoke to the lady that had already asked me what drink I would like. Then she stopped and didn't take my order. She just said awh sorry the supervisor is coming??? I'm like omg wth??? I spoke with the supervisor and told her what had happened and the approach and assumption from one the staff. Apparently I'm slurring my words? She apologised and offered us complimentary drinks we accepted that and left. Not going back again I was so disappointed and was made to feel uncomfortable. Sometimes people don't know when someone is grieving of a loved one. People are just tired mentally and physically and I for one just wanted to visit there for the first time. Sad and Dissatisfied with the events that unfolded that night. Be culturally sensitive next time k bye.
The staff are amazing, super friendly & helpful! I've never seen any trouble, always a great atmosphere & every time I go I meet lovely new people. Plus the food is amazing, and I love the $12 mains
The worst casino in NZ. I was playing a machine close to the main entrance of the casino were you are always fronted by staff security and was appalled, totally in disbelief as I heard one of the security staff boosting on how she had argued and obviously had a patrion removed from the casino. I get it its your job but to hear you going on about the incident was appalling and to think you took great pleasure in doing so. Three times I have visited the Hamilton Skycity Casino and on all three occasions I was approached about how long I had been their. First time yes we were there but as I am the sober driver for family who drink alcohol. We left went for dinner then returned later that evening. I was approached by an elderly foreign lady staff member about the duration of my being at the casino and gaming. She asked if I was chasing the jackpot. I said yes aren't we all. She then said you have been hear to long. At that time we had just walked in. I told her I was with family and I was their driver. The second time I walked in and after having a meal as soon as we arrived my niece and I decided to play the games. We had only been there for a couple of hours and again I was approached by Asian lady stating I had been there to long. She asked if I had taken a break or had a meal. I told her my neice and I had a meal as soon as we arrived. I don't live in Hamilton and travel to Hamilton to the casino but regretfully feel that three times visiting there has been disappointing because of staff thinking it's OK to harass loyal patrions. I have never been accousted by staff in any establishment until visiting the Hamilton Skycity Casino. I think your staff need to be reminded that bullying and gossiping is not acceptable because that's exactly how you treated myself. I have never had this problem at Auckland Skycity Casino the staff are always pleasant, helpful and welcoming. Maybe Hamilton Skycity Casino staff could benefit from training along side the Auckland Casino staff.
