SKYCITY Hamilton Limited is an entertainment complex situated in the Central Business District of Hamilton.The complex is located in and behind Hamilton’s historic Post Office building on Victoria Street and overlooks the Waikato River.SKYCITY Hamilton opened in September 2002, with SKYCITY Entertainment Group gaining 100% ownership in 2005.SKYCITY Hamilton is a wholly owned subsidiary of SKYCITY Entertainment Group, a publicly listed New Zealand company, which operates casinos, conference facilities, restaurants, bars and hotels in New Zealand and Australia. Although SKYCITY Hamilton functions with support from SKYCITY Entertainment Group, and operates within company policies, the site is a limited liability company in its own right and is empowered to manage and make leadership decisions relevant to the local market and staff.The SKYCITY Hamilton complex currently includes a casino, nine food and beverage outlets, a 600-guest function centre, a 300-space car park building and a ten-pin bowling alley.SKYCITY Hamilton currently employs 350 staff.
