A vibrant and entertaining experience in the heart of Auckland!nnSkyCity Auckland is a fantastic place to visit if you're looking for a mix of dining, entertainment, and breathtaking views. The Sky Tower is a must-see, especially at sunset—absolutely stunning!nnWe dined at one of the restaurants inside highly recommend Orbit 360° and loved both the food and the unique revolving view. The casino was lively, and the atmosphere overall felt safe and welcoming.nnThe hotel itself was clean, modern, and well-located. Staff were polite and helpful, though check-in took a little longer than expected. Parking was slightly confusing but manageable.nnOverall, a great spot for a fun night out or a special weekend in Auckland. Would definitely return!
Only went to the casino for fun. A total newbie at the slots. Other patrons were extremely helpful and assisted. I struggle with the atmosphere of seasoned gamblers staying there for hours.nHad a discounted lunch with my premier card. Tasty.
We stayed at The Grand, was a lovely experience, staff really friendly and room so lovely and very clean.nnWe went to Sky bar for pre drinks, staff amazing!!! Patrick was our server, such an amazing personality definitely made our experience a gr8 one.nnThen we did dinner in Orbit, wow their menu is amazing, service was lovely we had Anna wait on us and she was lovely and friendly. Food was spectacular, the entree size would of been a good main for me. Absolutely well worth going.
I had a very disappointing experience with the staff during my stay. When I lost my room key, I waited over 10 minutes at an unattended reception. Once someone finally arrived, I was asked whether one or two keys were issued — I replied “one” and simply asked why that mattered. Instead of a polite explanation, the staff member responded with, “Don’t be rude to me.” I was shocked, as my tone was not hostile, just inquisitive.nnWhen I asked to speak with the manager, she implied that I was being hostile, which I firmly disagree with. She said, “The way you said it must have triggered her.” I travel frequently and have stayed at many hotels around the world, but this was by far the rudest interaction I’ve ever encountered in the hospitality industry.nnI believe guests should be treated with respect and courtesy — especially when asking fair and reasonable questions. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
Sky City casino is great. It's a casino, unfortunately not as much fun as gambling in USA where customers interact with each other and making money isn't the big goal... having fun is what it's about. They have live music and such that adds to the experience...I just wish the gamblers were more about the fun and less about the chance of winning their fortune. Like any casino the odds are long so if you gamble, enjoy the atmosphere, and maybe you'll leave paying for the night and dinner!
