Fantastic hotel to stay in to see Auckland, we arrived by car but were dropping the car back at the rental place as soon as we checked in.nnI accidentally stopped at the grand hotel which is just across from SkyCity but the staff there were more then happy to take our bags across to the correct part of the hotel and take them to our rooms. All the staff were super friendly and happy to help and advise us of the best way to get to the airport.nnThe room service team were great delivering to our room on a public holiday when most locations nearby were closed.
Unbelievable experience. Stayed 2 nights, Sat and Sun, Premium king room comfortable and roomy. Rain shower head, excellent pressure. Fantastic room service and extremely helpful. Clean, tidy with replacements upon request. Plenty of food options and casino well staffed, clean and highly enjoyable with electronic tickets to play on gaming machines making it safer to play instead of cash. Was quite impressed.
The venue needs to lift their game when it comes to customer service. So many staff on over the gaming floor, but if you win, get ready for a decent line up and que time in the cashier line! Poor service! The venue is happy to take your money as quick as they can, but when it comes to cashing in your winnings, get ready for a wait. I guess they want you to leave the line and go lose your winnings, no interest for them as a business to speed this service up!nnPoor service!nTable staff friendly and happy, busy venue, and a bar that has plenty of drinks on tap, but pricey as well.nnLift the service at the cashier!
We couldn't go in. Despite talking to he staff and having the bouncers replaced. The manager didn't authorise us to go in after homofobic bouncers blocked our entrance on the grounds of intoxication. I swear we were guilty of holding hands and wearing a skirt. But never for being rude, disruptive and drunk. That wad pure prejudice. The bouncers were replaced 10min after they blocked our entrance.
Rooms are comfortable but small, smart TV, quality Tea selection. However, not enough lighting.nA dimmer with option to brighten the room would be good. In the bathroom definitely brighter lights needed.nThe shower area needs updating. Old fashioned tub and shower is dangerous, not enough room, plus difficult to get in.nA handrail is provided, regardless, anyone with leg issues would find it hard.
