During the Queen’s platinum jubilee we walked into this eloquent, chic and ‘roaring twenties’ themed brasserie for breakfast with my sister as she was craving croissants. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is very quiet and chilled during the mornings. Ordered the Egg Benedict and Omelette, accompanied with a tasty croissant that baked in house by their own renowned pastry chef. Forgot the Milanese gentleman’s name who served us, he was very approachable and nice guy to speak to. He recommended to try the grapefruit juice, croissant with forest fruits jam and it was a great decision he made. Thank you. But overall, delicious breakfast and will definitely visit once again, this time with more friends. P.S - Maison Francois were also kind enough to give me a complimentary glass of Cremant on my next visit subject to limited time.
Wow... I haven't eaten out in a french restaurant for quite some time, and this was quite the experience! The staff are fantastic, gave such great food advice... prompt with our drinks and orders... and the food, whilst not all to my particular palate, it was great to try things I wouldn't usually... like the flatbread with the escargot and marrow, or the egg with beef tongue and jelly? But the crab, the anchovies, the pate, the cod and also the lamb which was cooked to my personal taste, medium to well... was delicious! And then the desserts, oh wow you wont be disappointed by going here... pricey yes, but for a special occasion, big thumbs up from me! You also need to try their old fashioned... delicious!
I walked down the street in the sought of a light lunch and came by this phenomenal French hidden gem. Maybe it’s not a hidden gem precisely, but I had never come across it and I really wish I had. From the rightly salted sourdough and salads that started us off to the ravioli covered in the most delicious sauce accompanied by the right proportion of pasta to cheese — there were no faults in the restaurant. The service itself is a completely other topic and can be described in one word: exquisite. Everyone greeted us with a smile and we never once felt rushed or uncomfortable in any way. I would highly recommend this for both a light or very filling meal, and I look forward to returning and trying more!
Impeccable service, super friendly service staff who tried to make friends with my baby. Food is delicious with an amazing touch on the dessert. Ambiance is also relaxing. Love the deco, contemporary and classic at the same time! Love my overall dining experience there for the Mother’s Day celebration! Will definitely go back for another time!
Perfect spot for a quality not but fussy lunch or dinner. Have been a few times. The mould mariniers flatbread is a must they always have an interesting wine of the day, and daily specials which I often choose and have never been disappointed. Fabulous menu - not to easy to find French cooking of this type neither fine dining, nor overly rustic in London. I'll be sure to return. Service also very good. Its a little noisy in the main room but nethertheless still a good spot for any occasion - date, friends, business lunch
This restaurant is great. The food and service are top notch and the atmosphere is lovely. Food: The food was really nice. The dessert cart was a particular highlight, but the mains and starters were also excellent. I’d recommend some of the legumes, too. I had the ox tongue to start, which was great, with others on the table enjoying their steak tartare served at the table and celeriac Remoulade. We enjoyed our mains, too. I would recommend some of the fish dishes. Atmosphere: Felt very French - relaxed, not too quiet and warm. Service was excellent, also. I’d have no qualms recommending Maison Francois to anyone looking for a great spot near Green Park.
I came across this beautiful, chic restaurant while taking an alternative route home to my apartment from Hyde Park. It was in between breakfast and lunch time but despite this I was welcomed in for a late brunch. It was a delightful meal with the omelette and mushrooms cooked to perfection. The coffee was not great but everything else more than made up for this. I suspect lunch and dinner would be divine and I hope to go back for at least lunch before I leave London. I couldn’t help notice how the staff were carefully checking everything was in order before for the lunch crowd arrived. Next day! I just had to go back for at least lunch. I did not have a reservation but was very kindly directed to a table ‘for an hour’. It was very busy. I am so impressed with the staff, delightfully friendly and attentive to the point of hyper vigilance. No airs or graces just polite respect for clients even when some of them were dismissive. My lunch was divine! Poisson de Jour monk fish with a side of frites and a glass of champagne. I followed this decadently with a dirty Martini. I love this place
We recently popped in for lunch during a shopping foray in the area and consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have inadvertently found Maison Francois. Absolutely everything was excellent, from the baked pumpkin and fresh oysters to the amazing bread and butter and the marvelous martinis had to have two! Their pasta and desert did not disappoint either - nor did their beautiful and tasty desert options we went for the Rhubarb and Coconut tart. The only thing that exceeded our expectations and food was the absolutely outstanding service provided by our superior server, Victoria. If you are anywhere near Piccadilly Circus or Carnaby Street, you owe yourself this delightful experience!!
A Very good address to know when you miss French cuisine. Offering a selection of meat and fish based dishes, and their dessert offering are to die for. A bit pricey but worth it. The service was also top notch and the ambiance was very cosy
Had a wonderful dinner here -Foods ; A dish with beetroot was particulary exceptional, oysters were super fresh, and paris-brest aux noisettes tasted beautiful, not too sweet, 10/10. *You can select the desserts from the big dissert carts which was such a lovely touch*. - Services/Ambient; Attentive servers with professional manner, lovely modern decors inside. The place has quiet ambient with dimmed light so great place to have conversation with your company. You can pay via QR code on the table which was seamless, it supports split the bill - first time came across this in London, hope more restaurants would adopt this. - Only one downside; menu was written with a tad too many French, we struggled to understand what each dish and ingredients were and that took us ages to decide what to try - even though staffs were kind enough to explain if asked - given that the place has rather long list of dishes on the menu, it’d be better if more info were with written in English at least it can be put in little fonts next to original menu names that you can find easily on other places.
