Avoid Silverdale Transfer Station at all costs unless you want to be ripped off. Prices are sky-high. I was charged over $60 for a few general items in the back of my car — and when I told friends and family, they were shocked.nnThere should be a clearly visible signboard at the entrance showing pricing. As customers, how are we supposed to know prices aren’t being made up based on who you are or what car you drive? How do I know I wasn’t overcharged?nnI’m also cancelling my rubbish bin service. I refuse to support a company that charges excessively and takes Kiwis for a ride.nn1-STAR rating.
Very pleasant guy at the office. Very helpful with clear speech. Place is easy to find and easy to get around. The price is standard there is always a cost anywhere. But happy to pay less than $30 for a car load on a Sunday
Been going to this dump for about 7 years now. Well run, organised. The place is clean and easy to navigate. Staff at the booth are nice and give my dog treats when he’s with me. No complaints
Went here Dec 23 with a load of greens. Nice lady on weigh in bridge, easy getting in & out. Good price. Was prob lucky it was around Xmas was pretty quiet. All good.
What a joke this place is! Three trucks went past ours and our neighbours bin without collecting the rubbish, I emailed, I rang, I Facebooked, someone called the Monday and the bin will be emptied Tuesday. Monday afternoon the truck came, stopped next to my bin, emptied the neighbours bin and drove off. Called again, off course voicemail again ... got a text Tuesday morning the bin will be emptied. Tuesday evening bin is still full, phoned again, the lady on the other end did not know about this and will call back on Wednesday ... 5 days later, my guess they want to keep it there until their next collection day ....... waste of money and terrible service
