Sideline Poker is a new local Pub Poker providing excellent poker tournaments with a friendly atmosphere to the sideline bar in Christchurch



"The Sideline Sports Bar prides itself on its various events and specials on a weekly basis, be ensured that when you walk in our doors in the summer you will be greeted by a cool fan and a nice cold beverage to quench your thirst and in the winter it will be nice and toasty inside with plenty of warm food and drinks to help with those winter blues. Staff were extremely rude when I’ve visited. Poor service and to top it off, on Waitangi Day they had a racist sign up outside their bar. Very disappointing.
Called to make an enquiry regarding whether the bar would be able to display an AFL game I’m visiting Christchurch from Australia. The bar staff were quite unhelpful/rude over the phone, quote “I didn’t quite understand your question, but I’m sure the answer is no”. Chose to take my patronage elsewhere.
Went there to pickup up goods ordered off market place, arriving from the west coast, but never got txt from seller saying they would be out all arvo. Office manager/owner was awesome in spending time trying to find occupants that had registered under a different name to that id purchased from.
Good bar. Friendly staff. We had a few drinks, snacks and a few games of darts. We won! The bar is well laid out, has plenty of off street parking, poker machines, sports television going, and plenty of seating indoors and a garden bar. A good place for a quiet friendly afternoon. They have karaoke tonight.
My new local bar. Has big wins here and My little dog is welcome.
Had an awesome night.. they had a band which played great music.. staff were awesome along with friendly patrons.. will definitely go back!
Speights on tap would be good. Bottles are ok. Staff should be in a rest home!
Incredibly friendly bar. Spent Cup Day afternoon here with mates and were treated like locals. Given platters of food for free and were made to feel welcome. Price of drinks considerably cheaper that all other bars we went to over Cup Week. Cheers guys
Friendly staff. Reasonable price for a pint. Good honest kiwi pub. J like the ambience. Parking a plenty at rear.
Local residents often partake i. Smoking synthetic cannabis and seen be seen unconscious around the bar
