My partner and I were craving sushi and have walked past this place before many times but never tried! This afternoon we did and we do not regret it!! We shared the seaweed salad and 4 rolls - spicy california roll, snow white roll, salmon pressed sushi and lobster truffle futomaki. The rolls are a large size, great tasting and fresh! Prices are decent but well worth it. We were quite full afterwards!! Service was quick and polite..with a more elevated atmosphere. We didn't get to try their drinks but saw some beautiful cocktails being made..so will have to come back and try next time!! If you are looking for quality sushi, this place will have you sold. I can't wait to be back for more!
Sushi Rolls here are insanely good. So flavourful. We were obsessed & could eat this everyday. Warm Sake was yum too. Ambiance is great. Service is great & helpful. They don’t take day of reservations. We went around 9:30 on a Friday and there were mostly all the seats filled.
absolute flavor bomb. the choice of fish is very smart. the rich, nutty and fatty texture of the salmon and tuna goes really well with the japanese mayo and avocado. so creamy so smooth so rich and very satisfying. the tacos are also very flavorful and the shrimps are so fresh and well seasoned. my friend and I absolutely gobbled it with all the sauces dripping down our fingers and it is THAT GOOD.
5. Saku sushi is a great local spot that offers creative rolls and a nice atmosphere. I like to go to saku when I’m looking for a nice sushi experience that’s not a whole in the wall and also isn’t super fancy. The rolls are very large and it’s a good spot for sharing. The drink specials are great and the food is always delicious.
Saku has been one of my favorite restaurants since 2017. I love food made with their fresh ingredients. The servers are always friendly and welcoming. Recently, they did renovations and added new modern-style interiors and Asian fusion menus, and I have already visited three times in the past two weeks. My favourite menu are new tacos and sliders!!!!!
Went here with my partner and some friends for lunch and thoroughly enjoyed this place! My friend had to come back the next day for seconds. I had the sashimi and salmon avocado roll which was part of a lunch combo and it was delicious. Everything was fresh and reasonably priced for sushi. I did not get to try out their burritos but all my friends enjoyed it. The vibes and aesthetic of this place was super cute. A friend of mine came during dinner and they were asked if they had reservations on a Wednesday night - so be warned that they tend to be busy. Even for our lunch we saw that tables were already reserved. And just a heads up: they automatically included a 20% gratuity to our bill because we were a group of 5. Overall highly recommend!!
We ordered "Chef Special Sushi" for $31 and had absolutely no regrets. Every single piece was delicious. I can't wait to go back to Saku Sushi to have some more of their sushi. I'm very picky about sushi restaurants, for most of them are mediocre in quality at best, but this one is definitely above average.
They have good quality sushi! The sashimi was fresh. All of the food was a little bit pricier compared to other places but it’s affordable. Cocktails are around 16-18$ but they have ordinary tastes.
One of the best sushi places in Toronto and my personal favourite. The torched salmon is unreal and the fish is extremely fresh. I go here every time I visit, and it’s better than any sushi I’ve had in NYC.
Sushi and drinks in one place! Don’t miss out on this modern, chill vibe Japanese restaurant! Thank you for the staff’s recommendation! We tried all of their popular dishes and absolutely loved their bulgogi taco. The beef filling was generous, and the sauce was a perfect match. We also enjoyed their rolls, which tasted fresh and delicious. Personally, I like the saku roll, which includes scallops, tuna, avocado, fish eggs, coriander, and jalapeno - it was mouthwatering! And let’s not forget their Tokyo Rose cocktail, which is mixed with sake. It has a great fruity taste and is easy to drink.
