A quaint country cinema in the Waikanae shopping centre with a small front of house cafe. The cafe has great coffee, hot chocolate and an assortment of baking ready made baking. The cheese and date scones are very tasty and value for money . On my next visit I hope to see a movie
Nice relaxed atmosohere for a movie, with a cafe where you can also get a wine or beer. The seats, unfortunately, desperately need refurbished. The seat bases have collapsed, so if you have any back issues take aling some extra padding so you can sit properly or be prepared for a couple of hours of significant discomfort while you watch the movie.
Oh my goodness! I waited in line with a child today for a good 10 minutes or more not exaggerated while an elderly lady spent SO MUCH TIME ordering, re-ordering and requesting very particular things like warming her coffee cup up, and so on it went. They had no way of moving through ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE in the line, two of which were on their lunchbreak. I understand that our senior citizens are important and are to be respected and will naturally take a little more time, but this was next level!! You could have at least just popped her to one side with another staff member while someone else could get through the other customers you had waiting. Very disappointing indeed.
My home away from home - great selection of movies - staff are outstanding - there really is nothing to complain about. We are so very fortunate to have this little treasure in Waikanae.
