Story

Shona Rubery Designs offers personal dressmaking to the discerning client. Using our design and/or dressmaking skills we solve our clients' wardrobe issues, be it bridal, special occasion, business or just unique everyday-wear.

During consultation with our client, we offer advice on appropriate styles, fabrics and colours and also offer a design service if they require it. Clients provide their chosen fabrics, and sometimes a commercial pattern too, though more often we draft a pattern specifically for them.

Consultations and fittings are all held within the intimacy of our tastefully decorated bungalow studio, away from the hustle and bustle of the CBD. Clients leave with the feeling that they have been treated like guests in our own home, and with the certainty that they will be getting the quality garment they envisage.
