We had an amazing experience at the unique Shipwreck Lodge. From the sunsets to the dunes, and enjoying the beautiful interior design and decor of the rooms, we had an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Abel, was kind and knowledgeable. We had a great time ATVing with Michael and had a wonderful drive with Bonnie.Rooms: 5/5
One of the most amazing places I’ve ever been. Starting by its outstanding Director, Mr. Abel Ndishita, and continuing by the rest of the team, and mixed with the astonishing environment, incredible food, warm & chic design, made our stay unforgettable. It is one of those hotels you should not miss at least once in your life,
One of the most amazing places you will ever visit. Remote, vast and breath taking. Shipwreck lodge is also spot on with great staff and amazing guides, if you drive use a 4 x 4, some of our party didn’t!
Brilliant place to stay - so unique and remote. Wonderful activities - ATVs, beach lunch, river drive, sundowner all over two nights/three days. Packed time, great fun. Despite being very disorganised - I think it was due to breakdowns and staff shortages, everyone was friendly and fantastically helpful.
Amazing place, so welcoming by all staff. Knowledgeable guides and lucky us we saw the river come downRooms: 5/5
Food and experience are excellent. Not for digital nomads though because internet is sluggish when it worksRooms: 4/5
Amazing location. The place where the world ended. Fascinating place.Rooms: 4/5
Great team, unique place and worth to visit. Take a book and warm clothes with you and enjoy the moments in the nature during a ride in the canyon or a walk along the endless beach. For non-Namibian/ZA residents the prices for a night are extremely high, exceeding the prices of other lux lodges of competitors &beyond, but they having more comfort. During COVID times we would have expected that there are limited capacities for persons in the restaurant. This could have been organised with two seatings... Many guests simply do not follow the rules wearing a mask inside the public area or keep social distancing...
Spectacular location and lodge design is extraordinary, with each room dedicated to a Shipwreck. Food is excellent and there is lots to doRooms: 5/5
A hidden treasure. Extraordinary beautiful Lodge in an extreme remote setting. Service is excellent and the food is very good. The scenery up the river is breathtakingly beautiful.
