Shio Bakery

Cute place! I got the New York raspberry croissant and the shio bread. Both were yum - the raspberry filling is creamy and sweet and the croissant pastry is nice and flaky. The items are quite pricey, so is a nice place to try something different, but probably won’t be a regular stop for me. I got it as a takeaway, but the cafe itself is very cute and would be a nice spot to work!

Got breakfast here and was not disappointed! I walked there with my 3 month on my chest, the ladies there were super helpful and friendly- opened the doors for me and grabbed my selections from the cabinet for me. I got the raspberry New York croissant, plain croissant and a corn shio bread- all were delicious. There was tasters as well which were very tasty too. Must try their red bean cream bun next time. Coffees were very good as well

Staffs were super friendly and it tastes really good as it seems to be using really premium quality ingredients. This is the most important factor when i go and buy breads.nnCoffee is also great - especially the flat white.nnInterior was spacious with high ceiling and nicely decorated interior throughout.nnThe food and coffees are always well presented after it had been renovated.nnI am a frequent customer of this bakery and it feels good every time i visit here as the breads are so pretty :nnA great stop in Henderson/ west auckland.

Just reopened with new owners and there has been an amazing improvement in the service & set up!nThe previous owners had accidentally charged me twice and asked me to head back in store to use as credit. They then briefly closed the cafe and i was unaware of the fact the place had changed hands in the meantime.nThe new owner certainly didn't have to credit me, but they did and gave me a free pastry, which was really appreciated.nAll of the breads/pastries were delicious, as was the coffee.nWould highly recommend! If your previous visit was a little chaotic, please don't let it put you off trying Shio again.

It's safe to say we're regulars here at this point. They have nice variety of different Shio bread/sandwiches, including both sweet and savoury options. All of them we've tried have been very nice. The beef bulgogi one is probably my favourite, the meatball and pickles one is good too. Very decent coffee too. The staff running it are always friendly, and offered to open the door for when my hands were full - much appreciated.
