Shandon Golf Club

Great course. Good width on each hole and consistent speed greens. Really good if you can spin the ball. Par 5s were shorter and yet still challenging. Awesome practice facilities too.

I recently played, if you could call it that at shandon golf course, and was extremely disappointed by the lack of care for beginners, the staff and other players were rude throughout. We were being as respectful as possible letting people through. But we were constantly harassed by other players and staff. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Even if you are an avid golfer, just a terrible environment all around. WOULD RATE ZERO STARS IF POSSIBLE. We left after not even completing two holes. Absolutely ridiculous

We came to play golf for a birthday, we were yelled at multiple times by other golfers and the manager for taking too long. We have never played golf before and were trying to be fast and as respectful as possible, we let multiple groups go ahead as we waited but yet more complaints. Terrible environment for beginner players or people wanting to try out golf. We ended up leaving after 3 holes.

One of the best greens in the North Island. Bloody great course to play and great people as well If your into your golf you need to pop down to Petone and check out the course and if you don't have the time just play 9 holes and make sure you have more time tob play 18holes.

Great course. Value for money, quality overall.nClubhouse was good. Only thing I didn't like was the greens keepers dog eating my sausage roll.
