I bought the Shadowspec Retreat umbrella - what a great system! Fits on my exterior weatherboard wall and has real flexibility as to where I place it, yet tucks away when not in use. I received the unit in the morning and was able to install it in the afternoon - I just needed the sun to shine! It'll come and I'm looking forward to the shade it will bring during the Auckland summer. Thanks Craig for getting it through before Christmas. We're real happy.
We live in a "high wind" area and needed umbrellas to withstand the wind we sometimes experience. Shadowspec Umbrella's don't disappoint. We love ours! And they look great! From our initial contact with Craig @ Shadowspec to delivery, was pure Customer Service. Fabulous business, fabulous product. We are very happy Shadowspec customers. Thoroughly recommended.
Absolutely love our Shadowspec Rotating Cantilever umbrella, the fact we can move the canopy as the suns moves makes it so much better. Added bonus was the fact we could get the same fabric as our outdoor furniture. Highly recommend
We have been very happy with our installation of Shadowspec SU6 DUO's, both due to the quality of the product, as well as the excellent support provided by the Shadowspec team during the specification, purchase, and installation process. I appreciated the frequent updates throughout the process, including shipping from New Zealand to Southern California. The few questions we had during installation we chose the in-ground method received quick solutions from the Shadowspec team and they have been rock solid since. With 12 umbrellas installed in a semi-public space, these have maintained 100% function while being operated by users with no training they are incredibly easy to raise/lower. This umbrella system is very well made, and in the 18+ months of continuous use so far with greater use of our outdoor venue due to COVID is still in perfect condition. I would recommend a Shadowspec solution to anyone requiring a robust and professional outdoor umbrella solution.
We ordered two SU3 wall mounted umbrellas, with an extra wall bracket, so I can use the umbrella in two different situations. They arrived quickly, were beautifully packaged with very clear instructions on how to deploy them. I was able to install them very easily, and they look exactly right for our use of them. They pack away unobtrusively when not deployed, see picture. Very impressed with the product, delivery, and clear communications from the company. Would definitely buy from them again.
These umbrellas have transformed our house this summer the Duo has reduced the heat in our house an enormous amount, we were running the air conditioning in the afternoons to reduce the heat and now we don’t need to do that ! The Retreat has reduced the heat in our living room and still allowed us a view of the pool and not impacted the indoor outdoor follow. Both umbrellas were easy to install using the clear instruction.

Exceedingly well-constructed from the best materials ... a flawless design ... and ease-of-use stand out as essential elements of this product and made our decision to acquire the ShadowSpec a ‘no-brainer’. The customer service team has been responsive, timely and thorough. Great people and service at each point of contact with the company. We shopped around and found the best deal to be with the manufacturer ... we saved $3500+ than the next-best USA domestic quote. Go to the ‘source’ for this product ... as stated above - we could not be happier.
After a rigorous search for a "system" to provide shade and cover I came across Shadowspec. I made an online enquiry and this was followed up within a short time by Regan Boon. Regan was ever so helpful, answered all my enquiries promptly, we visited the showroom/factory to meet Regan personally and to see the products first hand. We made the decision to purchase the Unity Trio free standing. This is an awesome product, engineered to perfection. While it is a substantial investment I feel comfortable that this will give us much pleasure in the years ahead. Great to see an awesome product made here in NZ!! The enclosed "life size" "Thankyou for Purchasing" message from the founder - Graeme Blampied is a professional touch underlying their product and service. When our furniture arrives it will be an awesome spot to relax!!
The staff at ShadowSpec were friendly and easy to deal with. One small manufacturing issue was dealt with without question or fuss. My umbrella makes my outdoors living space much more user friendly
Very impressed with the quality of the Shadowspec Umbrella System we have put on our second level deck. The service was top notch by the ShadowSpec team.
