Hi there, and welcome to my facebook page. My name is Kathy Simpson, the owner and operator of my home based sewing business called Sew Unique.
Growing up, I was always around all aspects of sewing and clothing alteration and repair as this is what my mother has been doing professionally for over 45 years. As a very young girl I was first taught to hand sew, soon moving onto domestic, then industrial machines. My mother's knowledge, tuition and passion for sewing has been passed on to me along with her skill. With every item, I always lovingly and creatively ensure the most professional finish.
Sew Unique started simply from making my own creations for my children, nieces and nephews, and from there friends and strangers soon began asking if I could make the same things for them and their children.
I have expericence in many different aspects of sewing, from mending toys, clothing, bedding, patches on things to a whole lot more. I can turn your old clothing into something new eg: a kids t-shirt into a dress or sew a favourite image onto something new. I love to come up with new custom modern items such as capes and car seat protectoers and much much more.
