I use my local pool to keep fit by using their aqua classes. They have the largest range of classes and their instructors are friendly, knowledgeable and fun. They also have a therapeutic pool with a temperature of 36°C, love to use it to ease any aches and pains, and help stretch out the body.
Really nice swimming pools! With both 25m, 20m, hot pools and children’s pools. I’ve been there 3 times on weekends so far, every time I went, you could get a whole lane just for yourself. Great experience of swimming! And also, the receptionists are quite friendly!
We were staying at Rolleston recently and therefore, quite looking forward to using the Selwyn Aquatic Centre, and perhaps comparing with Taiora QEII's pools.nStaff were polite and helpful, without exception. The showers in the women's change rooms were adequate but lacked even a small shelf for body wash or shampoo, and an interesting effect was the amount, and colours, of the stray long hairs, decorating the cubicle walls.nSadly the hydrotherapy, and spa pools, were both far from warm enough, the flotation and resistance dumbell devices were also small and inadequate for a serious physiotherapy program. After I completed my physiotherapy, we moved on to aqua-jogging and thus we were utilising the deep end for the time we spent in the hydrotherapy pool.nOn moving onto the spa pool, I was unpleasantly surprised when I became aware of the amount of grime built up on the tops of both pools' edges where people grip, and lean, or sit.nIf this is difficult to remove there are simple cleaning devices that could be used for powered scrubbing.nOverall, just disappointing and grubby.

Really beautiful swimming pool! It has a 25m pool, a 20m pool, a hot pool, and a kids' pool.nSo far, I’ve been there three weekends in a row, and each time I had an entire lane to myself.nSuch a great swimming experience! Also, the receptionist is super friendly!
