Seeka Transpack is one of Seeka's packhouse and coolstore facilities based in Te Puke - New Zealand's kiwifruit capital of the world!

Story

Seeka invites the best workers to join team Seeka to pick, pack and care for kiwifruit in preparation for overseas markets. Seasonal work begins in late March and runs until the beginning of June. From the amazing fruit we produce, to the work environment and practises that deliver that fruit, our shared mind set has to have a heightened sensitivity to protecting the health of the land and its people, identifying potential risk situations and taking corrective action. Nothing is more important than the personal safety of all engaged with us - nothing!

My wife was called for an interview with Susanne at the site. I took day off on the day to take my wife from Rotorua to Te Puke. But when we went there, Susanne was not available for the day. If she not available why she called us for the interview on the day? anyway when we reached at the site there were two car parks one of the car parks for workers and other one was for visitors. we parked at the visitors car park. while i was in the car, my baby was crying , so i had to get down from the drivers seat and sit at the rear with my baby. That time one of the staff ,probably a manager in a seeka car a bald head fellow, sorry i don't know his name came to us and very rudely asked us to move the car to the workers car park. while i was putting my baby in the baby capsule, he was aggressively press the car horn. i said wait i am trying to put my baby in the capsule. But he was pointing his hand very rudely to move the car, even though there are some other empty parking available beside us. I have been in NZ over 13 years, but i never come a cross a person behave like this. Overall we had a very bad experience at the place. if the higher officials are bit more responsible and also think like a human being would be really appreciated.
