Lovely cricket stadium, well maintained and the seating is amazing. The parking can be easily done around the stadium for free. There are four gates. The D gate is lawn seating which has the best view. Nice toilets and Cafe for utilities.
Top-Notch Cricket Stadium with Exceptional Catering Services with Montana. I recently had the pleasure of attending an international match at our local cricket stadium - Seddon Park, and I must say that the experience was nothing short of incredible. Not only was the stadium itself top-notch, but the catering services provided during the event were simply outstanding.
Great place to come to gether and watch the Northern United club play. Fantastic grounds well kept in shape for all the cricket games. Toilets clean and refreshing, parking out front early bird
Hello sir please tell me
Recognised as one of the cricket world’s best “boutique” grounds, Seddon Park is the home of cricket in Hamilton. About image The headquarters for Northern Districts Cricket Association and the Northern Knights, Seddon Park hosts several international fixtures every season. It is a regular stop for touring teams competing against New Zealand’s Black Caps in five-day Test cricket, One Day Internationals or T20 matches, with a crowd capacity of 10,500 people. Tree-lined grassy banks around two-thirds of the ground give Seddon Park a distinct ‘village green’ feel, and were noted as one of its striking features by influential cricket magazine The Cricketer, which in 2012 rated it as one of the 20 best Test cricket venues in the world. Seddon Park is equipped with four floodlights, which are used for day-night matches at both domestic and international level. First designated for recreational use in 1864, in 1906 the ground was named after former New Zealand Prime Minister Richard Seddon. It was first used for first class cricket during the 1956/57 season, hosted its first international cricket match in 1981 and became a Test cricket venue in 1991 when New Zealand played Sri Lanka. A year later the ground hosted two matches as part of the 1992 Cricket World Cup and in 2015 three ICC Cricket World Cup matches took place there. Seddon Park has several rooms available for private functions including meetings, birthday parties, weddings, cultural events and other celebrations. It is close to Transport Centre like 4-5 minutes of walk, a really friendly place to watch cricket, you are much closer to the action than any other International ground.
Lovely stadium with grass banked areas. Family friendly. Good facilities. Happy, relaxed place to watch cricket. Reccomend- take your kids....they get to play on the outfield
Awesome stadium with all good seat options definitely bring sunscreen though. The food spots are diverse, surprisingly well priced, and tasty. Also the views from the stadium are beautiful.
If you like cricket, then this is the place to be in Hamilton, but only in the summer season. Otherwise, it's just an empty pitch
Stoked to see The Black Caps vs The Netherlands! We where able to take our own food and drinks which is great because it's expensive to buy it there.
